Thanks for the recommendation; if money were no object then a C4 Picasso would be on the shopping list. We have a budget of about £4,000, though, as we’d like to pocket a bit of change from the sale of our Honda.

I tried the Zafira and found it small and cramped (I was a long time Vectra driver so no anti-Vauxhall feeling).
Picasso? I’m 6’3″ and can comfortably sit in the second row of seats while another big bloke drives the car.

Interesting. We are in the market for a new (to us) car this spring. Our old Peugot 306 is really a bit of a dog now. We fancy a VW Passat Estate because – you can strap snowboards/surfboards/windsurfers to the roof and they won’t be longer (with the exception of the windsurfer), it has lots of space in the boot and it looks quite nice!

We are also looking in a similar price range. I’ll be interested to know what you think of what you end up with.
